Ferndown Day Nursery & Pre-school is a brand new graduate led Childrens Day Nursery situated on Ringwood Road the main commuting route through Ferndown.



Ferndown Day Nursery is run from newly renovated premises. These fantastic facilities have been designed to provide a varied and stimulating environment for all of the children attending. It is ideally situated within walking distance of Ferndown first, middle and upper school; as well as Parley first school.

 

We have a workshop style environment indoors and out, our resources are freely available to the children allowing them to self-select what they would like in each area. The principle is that resources are accessible to the children and they are varied, open-ended and high quality, giving children the opportunity to select resources to support their chosen activity.

 

Children are able to self-select activities and resources throughout their time with us. New resouces and activities are continually added to ensure we are meeting each and every child's individual learning requirements. We also provide new and fresh activities on a regular basis to reflect the seasons, and events both local and worldwide. 

 

Our day includes a carefully planned mix of child-initiated activities, adult-led activities, free-flow sessions and outdoor time. This ensures that children can enjoy all areas of the pre-school and outside space and also have the freedom to choose their own activities.
